We found this paper folded up in the attic of the Church as we were patching leaks in the ceiling yesterday.
We also found the gear of the old bell tower up there. The letter was written to the son of Duncan Matheson, who was the original Trustee of the July 4th, 1855 Indenture. The interestng finding is they were still using kerosene in the Church in 1889. Have records
of how someone would come early on a Sunday to start the heating and filling the hanging kerosene lanterns.
